These highly specialized, non-aromatic oils are prepared by hand with organically grown herbs for use in hot bath soaks and external massage. Unlike typical bath and body oils that are made with herbal extracts or essential oils, Farmaesthetics’ Remedy Oils are infused with real whole organically grown herb. This traditional process allows time to naturally extract all the healing properties inherent in each herb, not just a portion, as found in extracts.

Whole herbs prepared in this manner work in a way not completely understood by the scientific community. But they nonetheless work. These Remedy Oils are pure, traditional American herbal preparations based on prized recipes that have been used through the centuries to tend to many of our skincare needs.

– Black Cohosh improves the circulation and regulates hormonal levels in women, hence highly effective in treating skin conditions resulting from Menopause and PMS. (Not for use during pregnancy.)

– Calendula is used in herbal traditions to promote fast healing in all external skin problems, including scars or burns, and those produced by laser surgery. Lemon Balm is a gentle, but potent treatment oil for systems depleted by exhaustion or insomnia. Excellent for use in post partem massage, facials or baths, perfect for nursing moms.

– Hyssop is known for its powerful anti-viral properties. It is good to use for throat and neck tension and is associated with sore or hoarse throats. Great for public speakers, politicians, teachers, singers, actors and anyone trained to use their voice to instruct or perform.

– Nettle is known to be effective when infused in oil, to treat thinning hair and dry flaky scalps. Helps to heal nervous onset skin conditions in adults and children, as well as cradle cap in babies.

– Arnica is highly regarded in herbalism for its ability to diminish bruising and swelling that results from injury or trauma, making it especially effective for use on patients following plastic surgery. This is a soy oil infusion. All other Remedy Oils are infused in sweet almond oil.
