The Claus Porto brand was founded by two German entrepreneurs. It had its inception in Portugal in 1887, and by 1947, the company had assumed some prominence as the first business of its kind in Portugal. The company's product line was being exported to England and the United States. By 1994, Porto was winning awards, and the company had started to do what they do today, and do so well: develop high-quality products, produced the "old-fashioned way," almost entirely by hand—good for the home, the spa and the bath. Rather than simply offering soaps or hygienic products, Claus Porto creates works of art with exclusive Art Déco designs, and packaging that evokes the company's historical legacy, making the entire line highly suitable for gift-giving of all kinds. |
